Solicitors - Craig Caldicott
Craig has been involved in cases as varied as drink driving, shoplifting / theft, through to murder cases. He was the Instructing Solicitor in the case of Polyukhovich, which was the first War Crimes case in South Australia, in which he was part of the successful defence of Mr Polyukhovich. He has appeared as Counsel in his own right in a number of murder trials in South Australia. In more recent times he has been Instructing Solicitor in the case of South Australia -v- Totani and Hudson and Junior Counsel in the case of Kamleh -v- the Director of Public Prosecutions, both very important High Court cases.
Craig has been very successful in having charges against his clients either withdrawn or downgraded, with the end result being that his clients often receive very satisfactory results.
Craig is called on quite regularly to give lectures to other lawyers on specialised criminal subjects, both here and interstate. He has a very good working rapport with both the DPP and Police, and is considered an expert in the criminal law. His strengths are his ability to pull apart the case, get the work done, and achieve the result his clients are seeking.
